Southeast Asian Journal of Economics
Aim and Scope
The Southeast Asian Journal of Economics (SAJE) is the successor of the Chulalongkorn Journal of Economics, a leading economic journal in Thailand established in 1972 and published in English since 1995. Southeast Asian Economic Journal is currently in group-1 TCI and ACI. The SAJE aims to create a forum to address the many challenges of economic and social development in the framework of the progressive economic integration among the nations comprising Southeast Asia. The focus of the SAJE is to disseminate theoretical, empirical, and experimental economic articles, providing economic analysis and policy options for Southeast Asia and beyond. The SAJE is a refereed journal that seeks contributions from scholars, commentators, and policymakers from both the private and public sectors and reaches a readership of academics and policymakers.
Southeast Asian Journal of Economics (ISSN Print 2286-8984 , ISSN Online 2465-5120) is published 2 issues a year in January to June and July to December by the Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University. The journal has been published since December 2013. Responsibility for published articles rests exclusively with the individual authors. The views and opinions expressed in the articles do not necessarily reflect those of the Editors, the Editorial Secretariat, the Editorial Board, and the International Advisory Board.
Online Submission and Guideline
Papers in the areas covered by the SAJE are invited for submission regularly throughout the year. A regular paper generally has between 10 to 30 pages. Manuscripts for SAJE must be in MS Word format. Manuscripts may be submitted online via the form below. Authors can also submit manuscripts via email to If you choose to submit via email, to facilitate the reviewing process, please provide information in the form below in your email. Detailed guideline and template for authors can be downloaded here. Authors will be asked to revise the paper format to be consistent with our template before publishing.

All papers being published in the Journal will be reviewed and accepted by our editorial board. In addition to the peer review, the paper will also be refereed by one or more external reviewers. This external review is to seek our judgments and suggestion on the improvement of the paper. The Journal will inform you once we reach to the results of both steps. Typically, authors would get responses from reviewers within 3-4 months after submission.
